Wow, guys! new mold shipment time!! Ha, See how happy our marketing girl is!
Well, before posting this picture, a dilemma struggled in my heart. A friend who own a big amount of “linkedIn” connections used to give me a kindly advise: Hey, harry! it is not good to invite a girl to stand with the molds, especially with big smiling face! Come on, mold manufacture should be very serious case, ok? May had the technical guy who hold a caliper or drawing paper to replace would be much more suitable?
For that moment, like he pointed out, i feel sorry to make our team in difficult, as what I did had shown a frivolous impression to dear readers. It seems catching audiences’ eyes is the only purpose for my posting! Hence, this time I had intended to do as he suggested, be formal as a “real” mold maker! Then, I took the first picture with my colleagues’ help seriously. like below picture shown, only mold and products shown in front of my lens, formal and clean, all are right. but I feel something lost…
When I finished the photos taking, and plan to walk back. Our “after 90s” girl said: may I have a photo with this mold? I said, of course! Then she starts to make all kinds of “professional” poses with the mold, just like make a personal selfie, and other workers in the workshop all closed to the behind camera with laughing, suddenly the workshop atmosphere becoming warm and harmonious. Our team members are happy with their performance, and a sense of achievement was showing on their smiling faces…
All right, tooling making should be a serious and precision case, but doing the work with a happy mood may also important for our workers. As you know, when the project time is tight, our workers often work overtime, even overnight to keep the lead-time, keep the promise to our customers. They are tired and tense during the process, if possible to show our respect and appreciation to their work and product, why not? When they shining with their “masterwork”, shouldn’t we let them hear our applause? Tooling are cold, but warmth from the team!
Now a day, a lot of tooling company owner complain: It is more and more difficult to recruit workers, no matter designers, engineers or machine operations. especially for the “after 90s”group, as in their mind, there are no too much fun in mold making industry. New generation have their definition about working, happiness become more and more important factor to built and strengthen the team.
So dear reader, do you think putting some happy scene in our daily work, relaxing the team when the process not tense is ok or not? please show your attitude by choosing picture from below two.
