Domestic mold standard parts still have many problems in terms of technical standards, technological development, and product quality. “The Secretary-General of the International Mould, Metal and Plastic Industry Suppliers Association Luo Baihui said that China’s mold standard product standards are chaotic, with few functional components, low technical content, and poor applicability; technical reforms are small, equipment is outdated, technology is backward, and the level of specialization is low. Product quality is unstable; lack of professional talents, management can not keep up, low production efficiency, long delivery cycle; uneven distribution of production and sales outlets, operating varieties and specifications, insufficient supply; some units in order to compete for the market, do not pay attention to quality, The shoddy and shoddy goods flood the market. There are also phenomena of ignoring costs, blindly reducing prices, and disrupting the market, which need to be carefully studied and resolved.
In order to formulate a unified and good industry standard for my country’s mold standard parts, the National Mold Standardization Technical Committee was established in 1983. Since the establishment of the committee, experts have been organized to formulate, revise and review mold standards, and a total of more than 90 standards have been issued, including 22 stamping die standards and more than 20 plastic mold standards. The issuance and implementation of these standards have promoted the technological progress and development of the mold industry, and produced great social and economic benefits. The research, development and production of modular standard parts are being carried out in an all-round and in-depth manner. Both product types, varieties, specifications, and product technical performance and quality levels have been significantly improved.
At present, the standardization and application level of molds in my country has reached 50%, which is still far behind foreign industrialized countries (70-80%). In recent years, the number of manufacturers and sales companies in my country has increased year by year, but most of them are small in scale, outdated equipment, backward in technology, high in cost, and low in benefit. Only ordinary small and medium-sized standard die bases and plastic mold bases, guide posts, guide sleeves, push rods, mold springs, pneumatic components and other products have a high degree of commercialization, which can basically meet the needs of the domestic market, and some of them are exported.
And those products with high technical content, advanced structure, excellent performance, high quality, and convenient replacement, such as ball-lock quick-change punches and fixed plates, solid lubrication guide plates and guide sleeves, oblique wedge mechanisms and their parts , There are very few domestic manufacturers of high-end plastic mold standard parts and nitrogen main springs, and due to lack of funds, it is difficult to implement technological transformation projects, production efficiency is low, delivery cycles are long, and the contradiction between supply and demand is becoming increasingly prominent.
